IN MEMORY

This page is dedicated to those furry friends of ours that loved us unconditionally, brought countless smiles to our faces, graced our lives, and accepted us just the way we were. We all know our furry friends can't remain with us forever on earth, but they always remain forever in our hearts.

PATTY'S SADIE

Sadie's Wish

She had little wings on Earth you know.
It was just they did not show.
And a Halo just above
her sweet face that showed her Love.

And every day she hoped you knew
she was happy here with you.
So she stayed as long she could
hoping that you understood.

And now she runs and jumps and plays
remembering her happy days
here on Earth with Ron and you.
She needs you to know this too.

She tells the other dogs Above
"I had a home and I was loved"
"I had Ron and I had Patty!"
"I was loved and very happy!"

And so she sends her Love to you.
And thanks you for her years of bliss.
She wags her tail and sends a kiss.
She wants you... to know this.

Sweet Sadie is only gone from here.
She waits for you in a place so dear
where love and peace exist Above
for all who know such Perfect Love.

GEORGIE

Rest In Peace Georgie
2-1/2 months old

Georgie came to MHAF with health problems; we tried to get him "normal" but the fight was too much for a kitten so young and small. Georgie might have only been with us for a short period of time, but he will forever be with us in memory.

FELIX

Dear Felix:
Thank you for bringing me unconditional love and joy for the past 16 years. I miss you dearly as my heart aches every day for you. I know that you are not suffering any longer and that you are at peace. Please know that we will meet once again and cross the rainbow bridge together my darling "Feli-Well". Your brother, Frisky, sends his love and misses you very much.

Love, your Mommy (Della) and Daddy (Jim)

GINGER

Ginger was 6 months old and had to be put to sleep because of a birth defect that caused a chronic infection. She was a very sweet, adorable kitten and it was a very hard situation.

GOLDIE

I am wondering if I might be able to sponser a pet? Bailey looks like my best buddy who had passed away 2 years ago. My best buddy I adopted from a shelter when she was just a pup and we had a wonderful life together for 17 and a half years. Her name had been Goldie. So I would like to send a donation for the care of Bailey in memory of my old best riend. Hopefully someone will find Bailey and have the many years of love and joy that me and my best buddy once had.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to some- one here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...
